Involving staff in office design decisions – including plants – boosts wellbeing, creativity and productivity!
These are the findings of research conducted by Dr Craig Knight at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.
A garden office was installed at the show and visitors to the stand were invited to take part in four typical office designs and then practice some tasks. Productivity, wellbeing and creativity were all measured.
The research found that allowing the participants to make design decisions for their offices, enhanced by office plants, had great results. Their wellbeing improved by 47%, their creativity by 45% and their productivity by 38%. For full details of the research click here.
