Green from start to finish.
We are serious about reducing our environmental impact with everything we do and our green policy shows how.
ManufacturingOur planters are made from fibreglass, a composite of plastic resins and glass fibres requiring very little energy to make. They have a low carbon footprint, requiring less energy per mile than much heavier clay and metal imports, and are craftsmen-made in the UK under European Health and Safety legislation. |
Care of the environment
Most of us are home-based, so we save energy (and costs!) by not having expensive offices and storage facilities. Our vans are small and light - and we have looked at other fuels like gas and biofuels but currently these are not proving cost-effective enough for a small business like ours to justify. We are also researching peat-free compost and have just bought some which claims to be as good as, (if not better) than compost with peat in it, but unfortunately, it has just failed our “smell test”! For pest control, we have also started to use natural, biological solutions too. |
Plant a tree for freeWe make it easy to offset your CO2 emissions through tree planting. Nature at Work has close ties with The Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We plant one tree in a Woodland Trust wood near your office for every installation - and you get a certificate for your canteen or reception to prove it. |
Inspired by our children.
Our children are taught to reduce, reuse and recycle. We thought we'd give it a go too.
